Episode 13: The Scars of Battle (Tatakai no Kizuato)

Hamel wakes up in a room by himself. He gets up and sees a reflection in a bucket of water, but the reflection is that of a demon. Them a letter is slipped under the door. Trom is going back home to help rebuild Dalsengno. Cornet is helping Flute change into a royal dress for a coronation ceremony. Cornet suggests that Flute go and show Horn her dress and Flute agrees and leaves. (Cornet seems a whole lot more compassionate all of a sudden ^^;) She leaves for the parade. Flute stops to check on Hamel but he is not there. Hamel walks back through an alleyway as the parade goes on in the street and Cornet hops over the gates since it's the fastest way to get to the parade. Clary and Parkus are on a float and Parkus says that he should be there because he defeated Drum, Clary is about to correct him when Cornet appears behind him to smile. Horn is with Pandora's box and she wonders if this is what she wanted. Hamel meets Raiel outside the castle. Some guards in Sforzend are killed by a dog that was lurking around. Back to Raiel and Hamel, Raiel says that he knows now that Hamel was the demon in Ansem and that his purpose is to get revenge for his parents. He then attacks Hamel. A flachback to when Hamel defeated Drum, Drum says that there is no mistake Hamel is the successor and that he could not have won against him, then he says that the humans are doomed. Back in the present Horn calls for Bass to come out because she know he is the in the room. Bass says that they found the successor they lost in Ansem and that he was brought up in her sanctuary, Stacatto. Then Guitar materalizes out of a dog.

Their reveal their real plan to create security holes at Sforzend by attacking first. It didn't matter if they lost or not but now Sforzend's guard is down and they can get near the box. Guitar tries to take the box but their is a demon barrier on it so he says he has to get someone else to remove it. Back with Raiel and Hamel, Raiel is still attacking hamel and says that he knows the truth that the demon was hamel in Ansem and Dalsengno, Hamel is denying it. Bass says that he knew that time in Mercato. Raiel goes to attack Hamel again but this time he blocks with a demon's claw. He ends up hitting Oboe who gets in the way while trying to stop them. Raiel says that "Isn't is me you want to kill?" and Hamel is crying again. Bass says to Horn that she is a sinful Queen because when Pandora came to her for help she refused her. She thretens to behead Bass again if he continues. Then Flute comes in. Guitar attacks her with his sword that changes into a dog-like creature. Oboe begs Hamel and Raiel to stop then Hamel starts to sence Flute is in danger. Horn has jumped in front of the sword and Guitar tells Flute that if she want's to save Horn she has to get the box for him. She goes to get it and Horn begs her to stop. Hamel runs off towards the castle and Raiel runs after him. Bass and Guitar talk of the return of Lord Kestra.
